World of Warcraft - Item Upgrading
The upgrade option lets players boost the gear rating of an item by up 700 points and also add a final bonus. Items can be upgraded by having them in inventory, and then taking them to the kiln.
Certain items are worth upgrading due to their unique stats. (For example the perfect broken point armor that is rolled can be used in melee PvP). Other items like weapons aren't changed much after an upgrade and therefore aren't worth the cost.
Weapons
Weapons can be upgraded to increase their numeric stats, such as damage to attack, crit chance, PvE and PvP damage. Weapons also have an unchanging bonus that increases their damage per second. Many weapons also come with a fixed bonus that is activated when three or more identical weapons are equipped in a single unit. This bonus could be greater than the damage that an upgrade can do on its own.
The cost of upgrading a weapon is based on the nature of the weapon as well as its current level. For example an item with a rating of +2 will require two regular Smithing Stones to upgrade while an upgrade of +3 requires four. The number of stones required to upgrade a weapon will continue to rise until it requires the higher level of Smithing Stones, at which the amount will be reset to one.
Upgrades to weapons can also change the stats of the base. While this is usually an excellent thing but it can also have negative consequences as well. In the case of items that only see use in a particular build (Whistant's shield for FB sorcs for instance) upgrading them could make them unusable unless you have an extremely fortunate roll.
Items of armor can also be upgraded to improve their performance. In the case of chests or helms it will boost its base defense while a belt and gloves will improve their required strength and dexterity. Armor also offers an option to reroll its Enhanced Defense%, meaning that it could reroll to a lower value.
The upgrade template of a weapon will display the new stats that it will gain upon upgrading along with the relative values of those stats. This means that a weapon will gain 3% attack damage if it is upgraded from an 8 attack damage sword to an 11 attack damage sword. The 3% difference does not mean that the weapon will strike 3 times less, as it is an absolute number.
A weapon can also be rerolled by pressing the green button with arrows that circle in the item menu. The item will be rerolled and change its stats, but it won't reset the weapon's level nor connect to the status of your account.
Armor
A few tweaks to your armor can make a huge differences in your ability to survive. Certain sets provide massive boosts to poison or curse, fire, and magic resistance, which makes the journey through difficult terrain a breeze. The more defense your character is, the more value you can get from every point of health you have, so it's important to improve your armor as often as you can.

To upgrade your armor, go to one of the Great Fairy Fountains in the game. There are four Great Fairy Fountains available in the game and in order to unlock each fountain, you must complete an additional quest that involves the Stable Trotters. Once you've completed the main quest, and the corresponding fountains, you'll have the option of talking to any Great Fairy in order to unlock the armor upgrade menu.
Each piece of armor can be upgraded up to three levels and the amount of materials and Rupees required for each level will differ. In general, you'll be looking at anything from three to five Red Chuchu Jellies and ten Rupees for the first upgrade, and anywhere between five Rubies and ten Fire-Breath Lizalfos Horns for each subsequent one. The Champion Leathers, for example can be upgraded to an increase of 5 defense rating, which will allow you to stay ahead in frigid conditions with a lot of enemies. The Snowquill Headdress, on the other hand, can be upgraded to +20 defense, which means you're able to survive a battle with your friends.
It's important to note that armor cannot be upgraded in the same way as weapons, so you'll want to concentrate on enhancing it to increase physical power if you're Warrior or Spell Power in the case of Mage. It is also recommended to save your armor upgrades to upgrade the armor you will still be wearing at the end of the story, for example the Ring of Lightning, Spectral Shield or the mask you'll wear in the final boss fight the Monter Parts Merchant Mask.
By giving the jeweler 10 Twinkling Titanite in Gerudo Town in Gerudo Town, you can gain some benefits to your armor. Generally, you'll want to keep these upgrades for the weapon you'll use to win the game like the Longsword, Battleaxe or Warhammer However, it is beneficial to have a few improvements to the helmets and chest armor that permit you to sneak past certain monsters.
Potions
Potions are liquids that, when consumed by the player, give a temporary effect. There are five types of potions, each having a specific set of effects and durations. Some potions can be upgraded to increase their effectiveness. Additionally the effects of some potions can be enhanced by adding redstone or glowstone dust to them.
Potion upgrades cost a certain amount of XP. These can be earned by crafting them on a crafting table or in an chest of the Alchemist. The cost of upgrading varies based on the type of potion as well as the item's Rarity and Mark Level.
To upgrade upgrade item , right-click it in your inventory. Select "Upgrade" from the menu. This opens a GUI where you can choose the potion you want to upgrade and the amount of XP they will yield when upgraded. You can upgrade potions in batches of up to five at a time, and their XP will be added to the total XP you have.
Once a potion is upgraded, it will not degrade until you re-use it, or break the bottle it's stored in. Clicking on the potion in your inventory will also allow you to change the name of the potion.
Version 1.7.2 introduced a few changes to the mechanism of potions. Splash potions for instance, now have a duration zero, not the 22.5 seconds that are displayed on the item hover display. The table for potion can now be made using four Wood Planks and two Glass. It is now able to be utilized in both Survival and Bedrock. Contrary to Java Edition, Bedrock edition potions cannot be used in cauldrons. The same applies to using a potion within a cauldron that is full. This will draw out the potion, and refill the bottle.
There are also lingering potions that are brewed using splash and dragon breath potions. Redstone can also be added to potions that are lingering to increase their effects. The table of potions is rearranged to look more like the Java Edition. New potions are also added, for instance, the potion of leaping and decomposition.
Trinkets
A trinket can be an ornamental item that is small, cheap or piece of jewelry. It may also refer to a piece of art or a decoration that serves a function but is not particularly significant, such as a thimble. In some cultures, a trinket can be used to express affection or friendship between family members.
Players can upgrade trinkets as well as weapons or armor, as well as potions. These can be upgraded by visiting an upgrade vendor and paying the appropriate amount in currency. Trinkets, unlike other items that can be upgraded, can be swapped at will without losing stats.
Upgrade vendors can be found at the capitals of each zone, and sometimes in dungeons. Upgrades for trinkets can be purchased using tokens, gold, or fragments from a rare trinket.
Upgrades to trinkets are an economical alternative to buying an entirely new one. It is possible to upgrade a player for just 12 tokens. The new trinket will have the same base ilvl as old one, and will come with an additional upgrade bonus of 1.
Trinkets can be re-upgraded once they are not needed which allows a player to increase their power and worth over time. They can also be traded between players, making them an extremely popular alternative to gold.
In general, players should upgrade their top-priority items first. item upgrading means the best-in-slot items for their class, then their secondary items and finally, other pieces of gear that they won't replace in the near future (for instance, a ring or cloak). It is also important to consider your class's preferred stats when selecting which items to upgrade. If Haste and Crit are two of the most important stats to tank players then they should consider upgrading their chest, helm and shoulders.
After they've become unusable trinkets are able to be upgraded to a higher level. The new trinket has an additional 1% bonus. However, a re-upgrade is likely to cause the trinket to be destroyed in the event that it is not saved using a Black Lion Salvage Kit or a higher-tier salvage tool. This means upgrading trinkets is more expensive than other upgrades, yet is still less expensive than buying a new one.
