The Item Upgrader in World of Warcraft
The War Within introduced Valorstones, and Harbinger Crests as two currencies to upgrade gear. These currencies can be exchanged at the NPCs for upgrading items, Cuzolth and Vaskarn.
Each item can be upgraded to its highest level for a particular slot once. After that upgrades to that slot will be cheaper. The pity system that was introduced in The War Within, also lowers the extreme upgrade variance.
Upgrades
Upgrades are components that improve performance or add new functions. Upgrades can be purchased or earned through a variety of methods like events in the game or cash shop items.
In contrast to enchantments, which can be incorporated into any item, upgrades are attached to specific items and can only be applied to those items. This means that an upgrade can only be applied to a weapon when it already has the equipment of players. Rerolls

The item will be awarded an upgrade to tier, which will guarantee that it will be able to gain some stats in the future.
